Back to Cairo on this coming Wednesday. Strange how the place can bug the hell out of me and yet having been hooked by it since 1979 I can’t stay away 🙂 Been trying to bring my Discovery into the UAE from the UK but RHD cars can’t stay in the Emirates for more than 6 months at a time (on a carnet) so it’s barely worth it….. or is it? Could do a heck of a lot of exploring in six months……

The RAC no longer issues carnets either, so it would need to be a carnet from ADAC in Germany! Mental. Costcutters and bean counters are going to be the death of the UK.
